Behind Austin Chillemi’s 20 point performance, the Lynchburg College men’s basketball team knocked off Bridgewater College on the road yesterday 66 – 62. Chillemi, who is in the top five in rebounds per game and field goal percentage in the conference, posted eight boards while shooting over 50% from the field.
Tucker Lucas was the only other Hornet in double figures as Lynchburg moved above .500 in Old Dominion Athletic Conference play with a 7 – 6 record. Brandan Connor had a solid afternoon with nine points, six boards and five steals while senior Nate Campbell grabbed ten rebounds and added seven points.
The win ended a two game conference skid for the Hornets as they remained in fifth place in the standings. Lynchburg now looks ahead to Wednesday as the travel crosstown for an ODAC match up with rival Randolph College.
The Hill City rivals have not faced off in hoops this year and split their two games last season with both programs winning on their home floor. Wednesday’s tip-off is scheduled for 7 pm and all the action leading up to the game can be found right here on Hill City Sports.

well i once had tendinitis in my Achilles and it lasted about two weeks. i dont know about you but heres some advise. -ask if you can sit down during jumps (you should work during class, but once you feel it hurt stop doing the exercise cause you dont want to aggravate it). . -wear a million legwarmers before class to warm it up (ever though it is inflamed, it is better to have the muscle in the tendon warmed up so it wont hurt as much). . -if you do feel it hurting put a little icy hot or tiger balm on it (from my experience it numbs the pain). .
